Herkie

A herkie is like a side hurdler, but the leg that is bent, the knee is pointed to the ground as seen in the picture.

Toe Touch

A toe touch is considered one of the most difficult jumps in cheerleading. You will want to get extra power when you are pulling this jump because you need to spread your feet apart as far as possible, and then bring them all the way back in. One thing you can try to do is is sit on the ground with your legs spread apart, and lift both legs up at once about 6 inches off the floor and repeat that for about 100 times.

Pike

It helps if you are pretty flexible, so you can pull a pike jump. When you pull your jump you bring both your legs up and try to get your nose to touch your knees. One thing you can do to help is sit on the ground in a pike position and lift your legs up about 6 inches off the ground, after you do that about 100 times stretch. Sit in a pike position and try to get your nose to touch your knees.

Front Hurdler

A front hurdler is kind of like a pike jump. You only bring one leg up straight and whatever leg you choose will be bent and the knee faces the ground as seen in the picture.

Side Herdler

A side herdler you may think is like a front herdler because the names are similar, but it is actually more like a toe touch except that one leg is bent, but the knee isn't facing the floor it is facing the other leg like in the picture.

I hope this information helped you!

I am always open to hear your suggestions, so sign my guestbook or email me.
